Mit einem handgroßen Gerät namens "iPhone" revolutioniert Apple den Smartphone-Markt. 2007 präsentierte der damalige Apple-CEO Steve Jobs auf der "MacWorld" das handgroße Gerät. Die Revolution war der Multi-Touch-Bildschirm: Nutzer bedienten das Smartphone nur mit den Fingern. Andere Geräte besaßen eine Tastatur, die den gesamten unteren Bereich für sich beanspruchte. Das iPhone sah nicht nur ansehnlicher aus, sondern bot auch viel mehr Platz für das Display. Schon bald kopierte die Konkurrenz Apples Design-Vorlage. Tech-Konzern Samsung verlor erst vor Kurzem eine Patenklage von Apple und muss dem Unternehmen 539 Millionen Dollar zahlen.


Bei seiner Vorstellung 2010 war das iPad keine Weltneuheit. Lange vor dem iPad fand sich das Konzept bereits in Personal Digital Assistants (PDA). Bill Gates präsentierte 2001 den ersten modernen Tablet PC. Betriebssystem war Windows XP. Nutzer sollten das Gerät mit einem Stift bedienen, später war es auch mit den Fingern möglich.


Die Geräte wurden aber nie zum Verkaufsschlager. Erst das iPad änderte das. Nach eigenen Angaben verkaufte Apple das Gerät innerhalb von 28 Tagen eine Millionen Mal. Das knapp zehn Zoll große Modell gilt als das erste wirklich erfolgreiche Tablet. Im Vergleich zu anderen Tablets zu der Zeit war das iPad schmaler und wirkte desgintechnisch edler. Job erzählte später, dass zuerst das iPad entwickelt wurde und dann das iPhone. Doch das erste iPad erschient erst drei Jahre später.


Der Apple III erschien im Mai 1980 und war der erste Apple-Computer ohne die Mitarbeit von Steve Woziniak. Vielleicht war das ein Grund für den Flop. Vielleicht war es auch der hohe Preis von mindestens 4.000 Dollar. Oder vielleicht war es einfach die Unzuverlässigkeit: Das Gerät konnte leicht überhitzen.


Als Folge rutschten seine Chips aus den Sockeln. Der Grund: es besaß keine aktiven Kühler, denn Steve Jobs fand die Geräte zu laut. Um den Apple III wieder zu reparieren, rieten Apple-Mitarbeiter zu einem einfachen Trick: Kunden sollten das Gerät etwas fünf Zentimeter über den Boden halten und dann fallen lassen. Durch den Aufprall rutschen die Chips wieder zurück an ihren Platz.



Symbole auf dem Bildschirm, eine Maus in der Hand – was heute als Standard gilt, war in den 80er Jahren Seltenheit. Computer bedienten Nutzer hauptsächlich per Kommandozeile. Doch 1983 beeindruckte Apple die Welt mit dem "Apple Lisa". Der Nachfolger des "Apple II" war der erste kommerzielle Computer mit einer grafischen Benutzeroberfläche und einer Maus. Das Gerät soll nach Steve Jobs erster Tochter benannt worden sein. Apple selbst sagt, das der Name auf dem Akronym "Local Integrated Software Architecture" beruhe. Tech-Redakteure lobten damals den innovativen Charakter des Lisa. Die Kunden waren dagegen weniger beeindruckt. Der Grund: Der extrem hohe Preis von knapp 10.000 Dollar. Lisa wurde zum Ladenhüter. 1989 vergrub Apple etwa 2.700 Lisas auf einem Acker in Utah – so will es die Legende – um die Geräte von der Steuer abschreiben zu können.


Hätten Sie Lust, regelmäßig knapp sieben Kilogramm mit sich herumzuschleppen? So viel wog der Macintosh Portable, der erste tragbare Mac. Bei der Veröffentlichung 1989 machte das Gerät einen guten Eindruck: Für einen tragbaren Computer bot er eine sehr gute Rechenleistung, ein Trackball diente als Mausersatz sowie eine Akkulaufzeit von bis zu zehn Stunden. Auch Kritiker bewerteten das positiv. Das hohe Gewicht und der Kaufpreis (circa 6.500 Dollar) schreckten aber Kunden ab, so dass der Mac Portable auf dem Markt floppte.


Ein tragbarer Mini-Computer mit Handschriftenerkennung? Erinnert etwas an ein Smartphone. Der Apple Newton MessagePad erschien aber im Jahr 1993 und galt als ambitioniertes Projekt. Der damalige Apple-Chef John Sculley bewarb das Gerät bei der Präsentation in Boston als "Basistechnologie des digitalen Zeitalters". Highlight des Newtons waren der berührungsempfindliche Bildschirm und die lernfähige Handschriftenerkennung. Nutzer konnten mithilfe des mitgelieferten Stifts in Schreibschrift Texte auf dem den Bildschirm verfasse. Das Gerät erkannte dabei die Eingabe.



In den ersten Versionen des Apple Newton funktionierte das schlecht. Ein Ruf, den der erste Apple-Minicomputer nicht mehr loswurde. Und das, obwohl bei späteren Versionen des Geräts die Handschriftenerkennung viel besser funktionierte. Apple verlangte für das Gerät etwa 700 Dollar. Bis 1998 verkaufte der Konzern aber nur knapp 300.000 Geräte. Nach seiner Rückkehr stoppte Steve Jobs daher die Produktion, der Apple Newton wurde eingestellt.

Whenever you want to locate your laptop, head to the Microsoft account page and sign in with your account information. When you’re logged in to your Microsoft account, select the section labeled Devices. On the Devices page, select the device you want to locate. On your laptop’s page, select Find my device. You’ll then be taken to a page in which Microsoft will give you a map location for your device of where it was last detected, and when it was last detected. On the left side of the screen, if you click on the name of your device, a menu will pop up that may show more information about the laptop’s last known location as well as two options you can select: Find and Lock. Find will let you search for your laptop’s current location, not simply its last known location.


On your Mac, head to your menu and select System Preferences. Here, go to the iCloud icon: This may require you to log in with your Apple account information if you haven’t already done so.


Review your iCloud features and look for the option to Find My Mac. Make sure the checkbox is selected to enable this feature. If not, check it, and then select Allow when iCloud asks you if you are sure.


Step 3: Go to iCloud.com


Now that the feature is turned on, you can locate your laptop by logging into iCloud.com with your Apple account. Once logged in (you may have to verify that you trust the device you are working on), select Find my iPhone to get started.



Step 4: Find it on the map


You should now be able to find a menu of all the devices associated with your account. Select your MacBook from this list, and iCloud will bring up a map showing you where it is. You can choose to have your Mac play a sound if you want to find it, or display a custom message on the screen, or you can even remotely lock your Mac with a password to prevent access.


The native functions for both Windows and MacOS are fine if you want a quick way to track your laptop, but don’t offer a lot of extra security options. If you want more protection, you’ll need to download additional software and set up a more complete tracking program. This is particularly helpful in case of theft. We can recommend a couple of options you can get started with.


PreyProject’s Prey: Prey is an excellent download that allows you to sign up multiple devices for tracking. When you mark a device as missing, Prey can track it for you and help you remotely lock your device, retrieve data from it, ring an alarm to find it, or wipe data from it completely to protect your privacy. The app can also create evidence reports with information on the device’s location and images taken from a device’s camera that the police can use to help recover your belongings. There are several different tiers of service, but the basic package is free and tracks up to three devices.



Hidden: Hidden is another top tier tracking app that’s specifically designed for MacOS and iOS devices, so if you have a MacBook you may want to look into this app as well. It can track location, take images, log keystrokes, record spoken messages, enable remote access and more. In addition to controlling your device from afar, you can also wipe data if necessary. The Personal package for Hidden costs $2.99 per month to use and covers three Apple devices. The Basic package costs $1.67 per month and covers one Apple device.


No laptop in the past few years has been more influential than the XPS 13. It started this race to thiner bezels back in 2015, which has now spread to every gadget that has a screen.


In its latest iteration, Dell’s taken things even further. The 2020 XPS 13 has made the screen larger using a 16:10 aspect ratio, all while shrinking the bottom bezel. The result is a larger screen without needing a larger overall laptop.

Trackers and other anti-theft devices for bicycles are a dime a dozen these days, but this one is different. Unlike most existing trackers (which either rely on cellular/GPS connections that comes with a monthly subscription fee, or weird proprietary networks that only work if everyone around you has the exact same tracker app), this one communicates with your phone via Narrowband IoT, which basically allows it to work like apple’s Find My iPhone utility, but without any subscriptions or service costs.


This one hasn’t actually launched yet, so we don’t know a lot about it — but based on the video footage available and the photos on the preview page, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that this thing is going to be awesome. It’s certainly not the first electric dirt bike that’s ever been made, but the fact that it’s from Segway, one of the best rideable tech manufacturers in the world, is exciting. Fingers crossed they sell it for an affordable price!


If you need a sleeping pad for your dog, you can find one quite easily online. Just head over to Amazon and you’ll discover no shortage of pads, bags, and other sleeping solutions designed to keep your furry friend comfy. However, if you intend to take your dog along on a trip, then you’ll likely have a bit more trouble finding a suitable canine sleeping pad. The issue is that very few (if any) dog sleeping systems are designed to be compact and portable. They’re typically made with thick padding that doesn’t compress very easily, so they don’t fit nicely into a backpack. Rumpl decided to change that.


Believe it or not, somewhere around 40 percent of all the food produced in the U.S. is wasted. We put all kinds of time and energy into producing it, but we still end up throwing a huge amount of it away and sending it off to a landfill. It’s incredibly wasteful, but the folks behind HomeBiogas have a solution. Their cleverly designed biodigester (now in its 3rd generation) allows you to collect pretty much anything that’s biodegradable — dining room scraps, meat, grease, oil, eggshells, grass clippings, and even small sticks or bits of wood — and use bacteria to transform it into cooking gas and liquid fertilizer. Pretty awesome, right?


Charger bricks are probably the least sexy technology of all time, but this one is actually pretty sweet. Despite being no bigger than a standard deck of cards, the Hyperjuice charger, as it’s called, is capable of channeling over 100W of power, and juicing up four devices at once. Thanks to the magical material known as gallium nitride, two of the brick’s USB-A ports support the latest quick-charging standard, and can therefore funnel power to your devices at a blistering pace. The only downside? It’ll cost you $70 bucks. That’s pretty steep for a wall charging station.



As the movement to cut down on single-use plastic continues to pick up steam, there are dozens of startups clamoring to sell you reusable versions of common single-use items like straws, eating utensils, shopping bags, and even Q-tips. The latest piece of plastic in the crosshairs? Ziploc bags. You can already find silicon versions on Amazon for a few bucks, but this one from Twopillars takes things to a whole new level. It’s got a storage pouch, reusable utensils you can tuck inside, a reusable label, and best of all, a lifetime warranty. Get this thing and you’ll legitimately never have to buy storage bags ever again.


Home weather stations have been around for decades at this point, but Tempest might be the most advanced one yet. It measures just about everything you could ever imagine. Seriously. It’s not just the basic stuff like rain, temperature, and barometric pressure — it measures all that stuff and more using a variety of different methods, thereby giving you the most complete set of real-time weather data possible. Amazingly, it does all this without any moving parts, and also without wires. It’s 100% solar-powered and can transmit information via Wi-Fi to a base station in your house. It even shares all this data with the National Weather Service so it can make more accurate predictions for the general forecast. Pretty neat stuff!



At any given moment, there are approximately a zillion things competing for your attention. With all the messages, alerts, emails, and notifications that bombard us throughout the day, it’s increasingly difficult to focus on anything for an extended period of time. That’s exactly what Focusbuds aim to fix. According to their creators, Focusbuds monitor users’ concentration levels using a process called electroencephalogram (EEG) neurofeedback. This is achieved by using embedded sensors capable of capturing this brain activity and proprietary software that analyzes it. The resulting data insights are then conveyed in real-time to the user via audio cues. In doing so, the promise is that the earbuds will help train your brain to concentrate and block out distractions over time.

The second surefire bet was that Apple would improve the MacBook Pro 13’s processors, and it duly did, bringing 10th-generation Intel chips to the table. These come with improved Intel Iris Plus graphics, too. Not every model of the MacBook Pro 13 has received 10th-generation chips, though — the two entry-level models are still on Intel’s 8th-generation processors. If you want this performance boost, you should look at the two higher-end editions.

That’s not all that is reserved for the more expensive models. Firstly, the memory has been upped from 2,133MHz LPDDR3 RAM to 3,733MHz LPDDR4X memory (now up to 32GB in some models), but only in the two most expensive versions. You can now also get a 4TB SSD for the first time in a 13-inch MacBook Pro — but again, not in the two most affordable models.


There is one thing that has come to every model, however: Apple has doubled the storage across the board. We have long felt that 128GB was nowhere near enough storage for a modern laptop, and it seems Apple finally agrees, especially since the MacBook Air starts at 256GB of storage. The base MacBook Pro 13 now has 256GB of fast SSD storage, while the two midrange models come with 512GB. The high-end model is kitted out with a 1TB SSD.

Elsewhere, a lot remains the same.


You still get the Touch Bar and Touch ID, you still get the same 2560 x 1600 Retina display, and you still get the same array of USB-C ports running at Thunderbolt 3 speeds (either two or four, depending on which model you opt for). The revamped MacBook Pro 13 is slightly heavier than its predecessor at 3.1 pounds versus 3.02 pounds, and is oh-so-slightly taller at 0.61 inches to 0.59 inches, but elsewhere the chassis remains almost identical. The pricing options haven’t changed either, starting at $1,299 and increasing to $1,999 for the top-end option (before you customize any components).



The May update to the 13-inch MacBook Pro might not be the last. If you believe the reports, a 14.1-inch MacBook Pro is also in the works.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro currently has exclusive features like the larger screen size and thinner bezels. This replaced the 15-inch MacBook Pro, and we expect the same thing to happen to its little sibling.


There are clues in recent EEC filings that indicate that the leaked device is part of the same family as the MacBook Pro, with the A2289 model number being prime among them. The MacBook Pro 16 has a model number of A2141, and is the first MacBook Pro to use a model number starting “A2” (previously, all recent MacBook Pros started “A1”). While various iPads also use model numbers starting A2, the emphasis on “portable computer brand” in the EEC filing implies this device is a relative of the MacBook Pro 16.


We think it’s highly unlikely this is a spec bump for the MacBook Pro 16, as it seems nonsensical to update that so soon after releasing it. The MacBook Pro 13-inch, however, still has those thick bezels, making it the much more likely subject of the EEC filing. That means we can expect the 14-inch MacBook Pro to have a similar spec sheet to the 16-incher: A Magic Keyboard with improved travel; slimline screen bezels; the Touch Bar with a physical Esc key and Touch ID button; and a new cooling system to extract more performance from the internal components.


There’s also a possibility that both the MacBook Pro 14 and the updated MacBook Pro 16 will get a small but welcome upgrade to their keyboards. AppleInsider reported that Apple’s MacBook keyboards could get backlighting powered by a form of True Tone. This would let the backlighting white balance to be dynamically adjusted based on the ambient light around you, helping make it a little more comfortable on your eyes in certain conditions.



Over time, the MacBook Pro has built up a reputation for its stellar display, which boasts exceptional brightness, a wide color gamut, and low color error rates. Recent rumors suggest that those screens are set to get even better.

According to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is working on a Mini-LED display that will dramatically ramp up the quality, and we are already seeing this technology proliferate in high-end monitors launching in 2020. Apple’s Pro Display XDR — its highest-quality, most luxurious monitor so far — contains 576 LEDs; a Mini-LED MacBook Pro could boast up to 10,000 LEDs.

In terms of processing power, the HP Pavilion utilizes the AMD Ryzen 5 processor that, when coupled with 8GB of RAM, proves to be a powerful machine. It can handle numerous basic and moderate programs without slowing down your productivity with the infamous fun-killer — lag. When picking out laptops, specs are a factor, but nothing comes close to the priceless value of five-star reviews — which, of course, the MSI GF75 has more than enough of. Boasting the largest display of our roundup with an impressive 17.3-inch screen, you’re getting the widest view available, making it a decent TV substitute for its cinematic value alone.


Visuals are pumped out in Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution with the use of IPS panels, giving you great optics no matter where you’re positioned with sensational color accuracy that’ll leave you glued to your seat. The MSI GF75 takes graphics a bit more seriously than the previous two options with its GeForce GTX 1650 as well. It can produce incredibly fast frame-per-second rates on most — if not all — of your games, even at the highest settings.


As for the MSI GF75’s processor, it uses an Intel Core i5 with the standard 8GB of RAM to keep you playing, working, and feeling smooth throughout the day, even with multiple windows open at the same time. Like the HP Pavilion, this laptop also comes with a 256GB SSD for all your storage needs with quicker transfer speeds than an HDD. Its biggest flaw is its weight of 7.5 pounds, making it a mild pain to lug around. But if you don’t mind the exercise or are firmly settled in one space, this shouldn’t be an issue. The MSI GF75 is an excellent choice for the gamer with a passion for action. You can find it on Adorama where it’s on sale for only $699.



If the previous four laptop deals weren’t good enough, but you’d prefer to stick to a $1,000 budget, then the Dell G3 15 is a must-buy for its price. It comes with a 15.6-inch matte screen in Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, as with all the previous entries, and also has anti-glare technology that virtually eliminates any weakness to the sun or bright lights.

This allows you to work and play, sunrise to sunset, wherever you want. Just like the MSI GF75, the Dell G3 15 uses the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 to deliver superb graphics with all your games so that you can play games and watch movies just as the visual directors designed them, more so with its IPS panels. Unfortunately, the built-in sound is a bit grainy and weak, so if you want the full audio-visual experience, you’d be wise to invest in a separate dedicated speaker to complement the laptop.


For its processor, the Dell G3 15 uses a ninth-generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM that lets you handle multiple programs and windows with relative ease and minimal lag. In terms of storage capacity, the Dell G3 15 has all the other laptops on our list beat by a mile. If you can’t choose between the Acer Nitro 5’s 1TB HDD or the others’ SSD, with the Dell G3 15, you get both. With a 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, you’re getting immense storage space. You can use the boot 128GB SSD for your important files and store all your auxiliary and large applications in the additional hard drive for peak organization. If you want to make a smart investment on your entertainment and home office, you can’t go wrong with the Dell G3 15. It’s currently on sale on Dell’s store for just $750.


If you want an impeccable laptop from a well-trusted brand that prioritizes efficiency, productivity, and portability while still being able to play casual games on the side, then the Razer Blade Stealth 13 is a fine choice. The 13.3-inch screen is the smallest on the list, making it the most portable laptop that we are featuring without sacrificing too much visual quality.


While the graphics aren’t the most stunning and limit the number of games you can play with the built-in Nvidia GeForce MX150, it can still handle simple games that aren’t too hardware-intensive like small indie games and League of Legends, while heavier games need to be at their lowest settings. It also uses an IPS display, so you don’t have to worry about unfavorable angles.



Where the Razer Blade Stealth 13 really shines is in its processing power. It’s the most robust in terms of potential output on our list with its Intel Core i7 processor with a humongous 16GB of RAM. With this, you can be running enough intense programs to fill up your taskbar, and it would still be working as if it were fresh out of the box.


It also comes with a 256GB SSD, so you can store all your important documents and files safely — and, more importantly, quickly. If you need to bring it around with you, it only weighs a minute 2.9 pounds, making it nearly as light as a tablet. For the working professional who needs a fun outlet now and then, the Razer Blade Stealth 13 is a top-notch choice for $1,300 on Best Buy, scoring you a whopping $300 in savings.

Acer started out as an electronic parts distributor. Today, the company has grown into one of the biggest PC manufacturers in the world, belonging in the top five in terms of market share. While Acer laptops are generally affordable, they are nevertheless well designed and deliver top-notch performance. Below are three such laptops that are available on Amazon at massively discounted prices: The Aspire 5, Swift 3, and Spin 5. The first one is the best value you’ll find for something usually sold for less than $400, the second boasts boosted performance thanks to a discrete GPU, and the third is the first-ever Alexa-enabled 2-in-1 laptop. Save as much as $211 when you get them today.


If you’re averse to spending too much money on a laptop but want great performance, battery life, and features, we recommend the Acer Aspire 5. This budget-friendly laptop is available on Amazon for just $313, $37 off its normal retail price of $350. What’s more, you can get an additional $60 off instantly when you pay via the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, cutting the price further to $253. So what are you getting for such a modest expenditure, you might ask? You get an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB PCIe solid-state drive (SSD), and a 15.6-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display. But where did Acer cut corners? Read on to find out.


For starters, this laptop is not a solid slab of aluminum or magnesium. You won’t get that for the price. What you do get is a fairly rigid plastic chassis that’s reinforced with an aluminum frame. The keyboard deck resists flexing, and the plastic bottom of the chassis is solid. Overall, we have no major complaints when it comes to build quality. The bezels are also pleasantly slim (it’s not a member of the tiny bezels club though) and being just 0.9 inches thick and 3.97 pounds heavy, this laptop is pretty portable despite its 15-inch screen.


Speaking of the screen, the Aspire 5’s IPS Full HD panel is quite competitive for its price. Color accuracy was decent at 2.49 (1.0 or less is excellent, and found only on the most premium laptops), brightness was average at 238 nits, and contrast was surprisingly good at 890:1 (1,000:1 makes for the richest blacks and whites). While this is definitely not a laptop for professional photo and video editing, we think most people would find it pretty darn good for media consumption. Its backlit island keyboard is also something you normally won’t find in a budget laptop. Keystroke is a little shallow for our taste but is plenty snappy and precise. Furthermore, its Microsoft Precision touchpad is easily the equal of laptops that cost hundreds of dollars more.



The Aspire 5 comes in other configurations with Intel processors, but this deal’s unit has an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U dual-core processor. It packs plenty of power for normal productivity tasks, web surfing, working with multiple programs open, and everything else. Furthermore, its 128GB Kingston PCIe SSD is a great feature for such a low-cost laptop. Usually, you’ll find spinning hard disks in this price range, or at best slower SATA SSDs. And so while 128GB isn’t a ton of storage, its performance is plenty quick.


People don’t normally associate great graphics with affordable laptops. That’s not the case with the Acer Swift 3. This $602 laptop (it normally retails for $790 on Amazon) is outfitted with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 that’s good enough for light gaming and speeding up creative applications. Working with an 8th-gen Intel i7-8565U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB PCIe solid-state drive (SSD), this is a powerful portable computer that has all your productivity tasks covered. This laptop has a silver aluminum chassis that flexes even with just a slight bit of pressure. Despite questionable build quality, it looks pretty good, but we recommend taking extra care of it – a thickly padded laptop bag ought to do the trick.


The 14-inch Full HD screen is surrounded by comically large top and bottom bezels. Acer seems hell-bent on making all of its laptops’ screens look as outdated as possible. Thankfully, the Full HD IPS panel is packed with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Colors look good, details appear sharp, viewing angles are excellent, although, with a maximum brightness level of just 260 nits, it might be a little hard to see with harsh overhead lighting or if hit with direct sunlight. This laptop’s typical island keyboard with black chiclet keys provides sufficient travel and the keys are nicely clicky, but they are a little too firm for our taste. Extended periods of time typing might potentially be exhausting for your fingers. Bis Juli 2016 konnten Windows-7-Nutzer ihr System gratis auf Windows 10 upgraden. Seitdem ist das Upgrade kostenpflichtig. Windows 10 günstig kaufen

Falls diese Methode nicht funktioniert, müssen Sie Windows 10 kaufen. Das Betriebssystem gibt es beispielsweise auf DVD oder USB-Stick. Je nach Version müssen Nutzer hier um die 100 bis 200 Euro zahlen. Allerdings finden sich online auch Angebote für deutlich weniger – beispielsweise auf Amazon.


Dabei kann es sich zum Beispiel um gebrauchte Aktivierungsschlüssel oder Schlüssel aus Volumenlizenzen handeln. Auch bei Edeka gibt es hin und wieder solche überschüssigen Lizenzen zum Sonderpreis zu kaufen. Mehr dazu hier.


Laut einem BGH-Urteil von 2014 ist deren Verkauf erlaubt, wie das "PC Magazin" berichtet. Wer auf solche Angebote zurückgreift, handelt dennoch auf eigene Gefahr. Betrügerische Händler können beispielsweise den gleichen Schlüssel mehrmals verkaufen. Auch könnte es sich um gefälschte Schlüssel handeln. Microsoft kann solche Schlüssel sperren.


Wer einen günstigen Windows-10-Schlüssel kaufen will, sollte das am besten bei einem vertrauenswürdigen Händler tun – mit Sitz in Deutschland. Wie das Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) im Januar mitteilte, seien unabhängig vom Betriebssystem alle Installationen der Open-Source-Software mit der Versionsnummer 3.0.4 oder darunter betroffen.



Auf Desktop-Rechnern prüft man die Versionsnummer des VLC Players im Einstellungsmenü unter "Hilfe/Über". Dort kann man unter "Hilfe/Nach Aktualisierungen suchen" auch das Update anstoßen.


Hinter mancher Windows-Datei mit rätselhaftem Namen steckt eine wichtige Systemfunktion. Wer sie versehentlich löscht, bekommt bald darauf Probleme. Zum Glück lässt sich das System mit einem einfachen Trick wieder reparieren.


Hat Computernutzer einmal der Löscheifer gepackt, gibt es manchmal kein Halten mehr. Statt nur alter Dokumente, Fotos und Videos oder temporärer Dateien geraten manchmal auch wichtige Systemdateien unter die Räder, die der Anwender nicht als solche identifiziert hat.



Sollte Windows 10 nach einer Löschaktion zicken, abstürzen oder stehen bestimmte Funktionen nicht mehr zur Verfügung, kann man versuchen, das Betriebssystem mit dem bordeigenen Überprüfungsprogramm zu reparieren.


Im besten Fall stellt Windows die fehlenden Dateien selbst wieder her. Eventuell müssen Sie Dateien manuell wiederherstellen. The authenticity of the video is questionable, but The Verge reports that it was able to verify that is genuine. The Microsoft employee speaking in the video is apparently based in the Netherlands and has worked with the company for 10 years. Microsoft has not commented on the video yet.

Microsoft’s Surface devices are one of the only premium laptops and 2-in-1s to not include Thunderbolt 3. Other manufacturers like HP, Dell, Apple, and Lenovo have opted to include the port, which allows for fast data transfer rates, charging of smartphones, and support for external GPUs.


Despite the benefits, there are indeed risks. In 2019, security researchers disclosed a vulnerability similar to the one that Microsoft discussed in the leaked video. Microsoft, though, has a new feature called Kernel DMA Protection, built into the system and Windows 10 which can prevent this at certain levels. Apple also has a T2 security chip in its MacBooks and Mac devices which secures Touch ID Data, and storage and enables secure boot.


Other than Thunderbolt 3, the leaked video also discusses why Microsoft doesn’t allow users to upgrade the RAM in Surface devices. This is also apparently a security threat, according to Microsoft.

The video explains that with the right tools, someone with bad intentions can access data and contents of a device by “freezing the memory with liquid nitrogen, get the memory out, and then put it in a specific reader to access all data stored in the memory.” Of course, this is not easily done, but it does explain why users can’t upgrade their Surface devices.

You can always rely on Samsung’s devices to be good pieces of hardware, and the Chromebook 3 is no exception. It’s slim, light, and evokes an Ultrabook’s aesthetic. It’s not exactly made of premium materials, but it certainly feels sturdy. Its 11.6-inch display offers solid performance. With a pixel resolution of 1,366 x 768 — which is higher than that of the Samsung Chromebook 5 — the colors onscreen nicely pop, although the blacks aren’t that deep, and it isn’t nearly as bright as we had hoped for. Still, it’s a pretty decent screen considering how affordable it is and is good for watching movies and TV shows in a dimly lit room.

Auf dem letzten Platz in der Rangliste kam ein Lenovo-Rechner der chinesischen Internet Company N D2 auf 1,022 Petaflops.

Die "Top 500"-Liste wird seit 26 Jahren halbjährlich zur Supercomputer Conference veröffentlicht, die diesmal in Frankfurt am Main stattfindet. Sie gilt noch immer als wichtige Messlatte in der Branche.


Manche Kritiker halten die Art der Messung jedoch nicht mehr für zeitgemäß. Der sogenannte Linpack-Benchmark ermittelt zwar die Schnelligkeit, aber nicht die Rechen-Effizienz einer Anlage. Bei komplizierten Berechnungen wie Simulationen in der Klimaforschung oder dem maschinellen Lernen geht es aber nicht mehr allein um eine schnelle Berechnung, sondern um eine für die verschiedenen Arbeitsschritte optimierte Nutzung der Rechenleistung.


Nach dem Juni-Update für Windows 10 klagen manche Nutzer über einen Fehler: Der Rechner zeigt beim Starten nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm. Microsoft nennt nun eine Lösung für das Problem.Am 11. Bevor Sie ein Notebook kaufen, sollten Sie sich bewusst machen, wofür Sie das Gerät brauchen. Dann können Sie ihre Auswahl beim Einkauf leichter eingrenzen. Worauf Sie achten können, wenn die Entscheidung schwerfällt.


Wie bei so vielen Neuanschaffungen beginnt auch bei Notebooks alles mit einer vermeintlich einfachen Frage: Für was nutze ich das Gerät in der Regel? Die Antwort darauf grenzt die Auswahl schon ein.


"Wenn ich E-Mails schreiben, Texte bearbeiten oder im Internet surfen will, brauche ich kein teures Gerät", sagt Sebastian Klöß vom Branchenverband Bitkom. Auch "Grafik für den Hausgebrauch", also etwa die Bearbeitung von Ferienfotos, schaffe jeder Laptop: "Das geht ja inzwischen sogar mit dem Handy." Filmschnitt sei dagegen schon aufwendiger.


Auch Christian van de Sand von der Stiftung Warentest rät, sich zunächst über die häufigsten Anwendungen klar zu werden. Danach könne die Produktgruppe und damit auch der Preisrahmen ausgewählt werden: Brauchbare Notebooks gebe es ab etwa 500 Euro, ältere Modelle oder Aktionsware auch für weniger als 400.



Wer dagegen ein leichteres sogenanntes Ultrabook, ein Detachable – ein Notebook, das durch einen abnehmbaren Bildschirm zum Tablet werden kann – oder aber ein Notebook mit 360-Grad-Scharnier (Convertible) bevorzugt, müsse mindestens 1.000 Euro investieren, erläutert van de Sand.

Apple-Kunden sind im Prinzip ein loyales Volk. Wer sich einmal für die Produkte mit dem Apfel-Logo entschieden hat, bleibt häufig der Marke über Jahre hinweg treu. Unter den Besitzern der MacBooks rumort es allerdings seit einiger Zeit. Und Konkurrent Microsoft gewinnt mit seinen Surface-Computern an Boden.


Mit dem am Mittwoch (Ortszeit) in New York vorgestellten MacBook Pro im 16-Zoll-Format setzt Apple nun wieder zum Konter an. Und räumt einen der größten Kritikpunkte der aktuellen MacBook-Reihe aus – die Zuverlässigkeit der Tastatur.


Kunden klagten hier über mechanische Probleme. Beim Druck auf die Buchstabentaste passierte zuweilen nichts, manchmal erschienen Buchstaben doppelt. Schon wenige Staubkörner zwischen den Tasten reichen gelegentlich aus, um die Funktion zu beeinträchtigen. Apple zeigte sich zwar bei der Reparatur der betroffenen Geräte in der Regel kulant, trotzdem waren die Kunden genervt.


Tschüss Butterfly-Keyboard, hallo Magic Keyboard

Nach mehreren Verbesserungsversuchen ist nun Schluss mit der Butterfly-Tastatur. Das neue MacBook Pro kommt mit einem völlig neu gestalteten Keyboard. Das "Magic Keyboard" orientiert sich am Design der bewährten Tastatur des iMac Pro. Im ersten Kurztest hinterlässt es einen guten Eindruck mit schnellen und flüssigen Eingaben.


Beim Neu-Design der Tastatur ist Apple auch auf die wichtige Kundengruppe der Software-Entwickler zugegangen. Sie erhalten nun links neben der TouchBar, einem flachen Display mit virtuellen Tasten, wieder eine echte ESC-Taste.



Sechs Lautsprecher für ungeahnten Klang

Ein riesiger Unterschied zum Vorgänger-Modell lässt sich beim Klang feststellen. Sechs Lautsprecher liefern eine – bei Notebooks bislang unbekannte – Klangqualität mit sattem und breitem Stereoklang und einem vollen Bass. Dank eins ausgeklügelten Systems sorgt neutralisieren die einzelnen Lautsprecher untereinander Vibrationen. Dadurch scheppert das Gehäuse nicht.


Auch beim Sound-Input legt Apple die Messlatte höher: Drei Mikrofone zeichnen den Ton quasi in Studioqualität auf. Hintergrundgeräusche werden weitgehend ausgeblendet. Das ist nicht nur für Podcaster interessant, die ihre Sendungen von unterwegs aus aufzeichnen wollen. Auch die Tonqualität bei Videokonferenzen profitiert.


Deutlich mehr Speicherplatz im neuen Modell

Für den Einsatz als mobiles Multimedia-Studio hat Apple das neue MacBook Pro mit modernen Intel-Mikroprozessoren (6-Kerne Core i7 und 8-Kerne Core i9) bestückt. Außerdem grantiert ein leistungsstarker Grafikchip von AMD (Radeon Pro 5000M mit GDDR6-Speicher) für Tempo.



Beim Bearbeiten von Videos in Programmen wie Final Cut Pro oder Adobe Premiere sieht man nun die Auswirkungen von Filtern oder Belichtungskorrekturen in Echtzeit. Beim Vorgängermodell bekam man sie erst nach dem Rendern der Videos zu Gesicht. Paul Ripke, der sich unter anderem als Fotograf der Deutschen Fußball-Nationalmannschaft ein Namen gemacht hat, zeigte sich nach einem ersten Test direkt nach der Vorstellung in New York begeistert.


Video-Profis wie Ripke profitieren beim neuen MacBook Pro nicht nur vom größeren Bildschirm (16 statt 15 Zoll, 3.072 zu 1.920 Pixel), sondern auch von neuen Speicheroptionen: Das Gerät kann bis zu 64 Gigabyte (GB) Hauptspeicher aufnehmen. Mit 512 GB und 1 Terabyte (TB) sind die SSD-Speicher in beiden Standardkonfigurationen doppelt so groß als beim bisherigen 15-Zoller. Maximal sind 8 TB SSD-Speicher möglich.

Der Razer-Prototyp Linda funktioniert ausschließlich mit dem Razer Phone: Das leistungsstarke, kantige Handy wird in das Notebook-Dock unterhalb der Tastatur eingelegt und wird dort zum Touchpad. Ob es das Projekt zur Massenproduktion schafft, lässt Razer offen. Unter dem Namen Project Linda versucht der Gaming-Spezialist Razer, seine Kunden von neuen Ideen zu begeistern.


Das Smartphone wird dort integriert, wo man sonst das Touchpad bei üblichen Laptops findet. Das System des Razer-Phones übernimmt danach die Kontrolle des Bildschirms. Der Laptop als Docking-Station verfügt über keine eigene Hardware, sondern stellt lediglich Komponenten wie Tastatur, Full-HD-Bildschirm und Speicher bereit.


Wie das Branchenmagazin „Heise“ verrät, funktionieren – anders als die PR-Bilder von Razer dies weismachen wollen – beide Bildschirme nicht simultan. Das Laptop-Display hat vor dem Smartphone-“Touchpad“ Vorrang, und funktioniert rein als Anzeige und nicht als benutzerfreundliches Tastfeld.


Auf der CES in Las Vegas gibt es einige unterhaltsame neue Produkte. Doch auch für die Laptops, die viele Menschen täglich benutzen, gibt es Upgrades. Manch einen Hersteller treibt sogar die Vision, dass es gar keinen richtigen Laptop mehr braucht.


Den Trends zum dünneren Gerät und zur Ausstattung mit einem Sprachassistenten können sich auch Laptops nicht verschließen. Zwar kommt mit dem Betriebssystem Windows 10 schon Microsofts Assistentin Cortana - das hält die Hersteller aber nicht ab, auch noch weitere Helfer einzubauen.



So nimmt in den Laptops der Thinkpad-X1-Familie von Lenovo etwa auf Wunsch auch Amazons Assistentin Alexa Befehle entgegen. Dafür wurden die Thinkpads X1 Carbon und X1 Yoga extra mit einem neuen Fernfeld-Mikrofon-Array ausgestattet. Lenovo setzt daneben aber auch auf etwas mehr Sicherheitsgefühl. Mehrere der angekündigten Thinkpads der Serien X, T und L erhalten sogenannte ThinkShutter - eingebaute Abdeckungen für die Webcam. Die mit dem Titel Yoga versehenen Modelle verfügen über ein 360-Grad-Scharnier, mit dem sich die Notebooks in Tablets verwandeln lassen. Alle Geräte wurden auch mit neuen Prozessoren ausgestattet. Sie sollen im März oder April erscheinen. Preise hat Lenovo noch nicht genannt.


Wenig Rahmen gibt Dell seinen XPS-Modellen. Die überarbeiteten Versionen 13 und 15 haben neben dem Bildschirm nur minimale Kanten. Das macht die Notebooks insgesamt kompakter. Allerdings gibt es auch Nachteile: So sitzt die Webcam ungewöhnlich niedrig unter dem Display und bietet so bei Video-Telefonie einen eigenartigen Winkel. Beim überarbeiteten XPS 13 verspricht Dell unter anderem eine leicht abwischbare Oberfläche. Das XPS 15 hat Dell als Convertible gezeigt, das sich über ein 360-Grad-Scharnier in den Tablet-Modus versetzen lässt. Die für Business-Kunden ausgelegten Latitude-Modelle hat Dell ebenfalls überarbeitet - sie wurden etwa mit neuen Intel-Prozessoren der achten Generation ausgestattet. Die Latitude-Geräte starten bei einem Preis von 869 Euro und sind ab sofort verfügbar.



Bis zu 15 Stunden Arbeitszeit bei 985 Gramm Gewicht verspricht das ZenBook 13 von Asus. Das 13-Zoll-Notebook kommt mit Intel-Prozessoren der achten Generation. Mit dem X507 zeigten die Taiwaner in Las Vegas noch ein Notebook mit Full-HD-Display mit schmalen Bildschirmrändern. Als Prozessoren kommen Chips aus Intels siebter Generation der Core-i-Serie zum Einsatz, für 3D-Grafik sorgt Nvidias MX110-Chip. Beide Modelle kommen in den kommenden Monaten in den Handel, genaue Preise nannte Asus zunächst nicht.


Besonders dünn wird es beim Swift 7, das Acer Ende März auf den Markt bringen will. Nicht einmal neun Millimeter dick soll das 14 Zoll große, in Aluminium gehüllte Notebook werden. Es kann mit einer Sim-Karte LTE-Verbindungen herstellen und hat nach Herstellerangaben bis zu zehn Stunden Akkulaufzeit. Auf AMD-Ryzen-Prozessoren setzt Acer mit dem Nitro 5 Gaming mit einem 15,6 Zoll großen Bildschirm. Ausreichend Grafik-Power für Spiele oder Videoproduktion gibt es dazu von der AMD Radeon RX560. Praktisch: Über eine Klappe lässt sich der eingebaute SSD-Speicher um eine HDD-Festplatte erweitern. Auch Acer hat noch keine Preise für die neuen Modelle genannt.

One last financial consideration: Although Orby TV doesn't require it, many people need a decent broadband connection for everything from video chats with family members to watching shows on Netflix, and you can often get a better deal when it's bundled with other services, such as a TV package and a home phone. Cable and telco companies such as Verizon almost always have promotional bundle offers, and DirecTV and Dish partner with a number of broadband companies to create hybrid TV/internet bundles.


Orby TV doesn't currently have this type of deal in place, which means you could save on your TV entertainment only to pay more for your internet connection.Over the past 18 months, a growing number of streaming services have really been shaking up the TV business, giving consumers a variety of new alternatives to traditional cable and satellite packages. The biggest selling point for all these services is that they offer a cable-style TV package at a significantly lower cost.


The latest entry is a bit different. TVision Home, from cellular provider T-Mobile, isn't really promising to save you money, at least not much. Instead, it vows to be more up-front about the total cost of the service, which is launching at $90 a month for a cable-style tier of about 155 channels. After the promotional period ends—the company wouldn't say when—T-Mobile wireless subscribers will get that rate, while others pay $100 a month.


Unlike traditional pay TV services, TVision Home doesn't hit you with additional charges such as broadcast TV and regional sports fees, or DVR service charges. If you have a cable package, those can sometimes add as much as $40 a month to your monthly bill, and many consumers say such fees are unfair.

However, if you sign up for TVision Home, you will pay a $10-a-month rental fee for the required main set-top box/DVR, plus $10 a month more to rent "Lite" boxes for each additional TV you'd like to connect. You'll also have to pay local taxes.



I recently had a chance to kick the tires on this new service, and generally liked the channel selection and the interface.TVision Home is a rebranded version of Layer3 TV, an internet-based TV service T-Mobile acquired last year. It's currently available only in the eight markets Layer3 served: Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Longmont, Colo. The company says it will expand its footprint later this year.


To set up the service, I had to swap out my regular DirecTV satellite TV receiver/DVR with the TVision Home gateway box. T-Mobile offers free in-home installation, but it's not necessary. I found the setup to be a snap, since an account is created when you sign up for the service and is preloaded in the gateway box. There’s also a set-up video tutorial on the TVision Home website and a call-in number, if you need additional help.The TVision box requires a wired connection to a router or Ethernet jack in the room. And you need a fairly robust broadband connection—T-Mobile recommends at least 50Mbps.


The main gateway box comes in black or white. It's considerably larger than most streaming players these days, but that's because it houses a 1-terabyte DVR for storing shows. (That's enough storage for about 400 hours of high-def programming.) Once I connected the box, I just needed to plug the power cable into the wall, load batteries in the remote control, and switch the TV to the right HDMI input. Additional TVs use smaller "Lite" boxes, which connect to the gateway box through WiFi.

The box comes prepopulated with the main account already set up, so activating service was fairly straightforward using the company's website. Once the box is activated, you can easily add profiles for other family members, who each get their own personalized home screen, recommendations, and DVR recordings list.



You can expand the TVision Home basic service of about 155 channels to more than 275 channels with add-on packages and premium channels. For example, a Movies & Music pack includes movie channels from Epix, MGM and Sony, plus a few music 24/7 niche channels, and costs an extra $10 a month.

Wenn ihr nur wenige wichtige Daten auf dem Laptop habt oder eh mit der neuen Festplatte ein neues Betriebssystem installieren wollt, ist das Klonen der Festplatte natürlich unnötig. In diesem Fall solltet ihr einfach nur ein Backup der wichtigsten Daten auf einem externen Speichermedium machen, die Festplatte austauchen und dann das Betriebssystem neu aufsetzen. Wie das Installieren eines Betriebssystems funktioniert, erklären wir euch hier am Beispiels von Windows 10 und Linux Mint:


Die meisten modernen Laptops besitzen eine sogenannte Wartungsklappe. Diese Klappe ist häufig nur mit einer oder wenigen Schrauben befestigt und bietet euch den schnellen Zugriff auf Festplatte, RAM und teilweise weiteren auswechselbaren Komponenten wie dem WLAN-Modul. Normalerweise hat der Austausch der Komponenten, die über die Wartungsklappe erreichbar sind, auch keine Auswirkungen auf die Garantie (außer ihr macht beim Austausch etwas selbst kaputt). Wenn ihr auf Nummer sicher gehen wollt, solltet ihr dies jedoch in der Anleitung oder den Garantiehinweisen, die dem Laptop beilagen, nachlesen.

Je nach Hersteller und Modell ist der Ausbau der Laptop-Festplatte über die Wartungsklappe unterschiedlich, der Prozess ähnelt sich dabei in den Grundschritten. Geht wie folgt vor:


Hebt die Festplatte heraus und löst die Schrauben des Festplattenschlittens.

Nun müsst ihr nur noch die Schritte in genau umgedrehter Reihenfolge mit der neuen Festplatte machen.

Gerade bei älteren Laptops gibt es häufig keine Wartungsklappe und einige Hersteller sind auch heute noch keine Fans davon, dass Nutzer selbstständig Hardware austauschen. Wenn ihr keine Wartungsklappe an eurem Laptop habt, bedeutet das für gewöhnlich, dass ihr den gesamten Laptop auseinanderschrauben müsst, um an die Hardware zu gelangen. Dies ist häufig mit dem Garantieverlust verbunden.



Wenn ihr euch trotzdem an den Festplatten-Tausch wagen wollt, solltet ihr nach einem Tutorial oder Video suchen, wo exakt euer Laptopmodell auseinandergenommen wird. Häufig sind Schrauben unter Gummipads, der Tastatur oder an anderen Stellen versteckt, sodass ihr den Laptop ohne genaue Anleitung wahrscheinlich nicht heile auseinandergebaut bekommt.


Ich habe mit Windows 3.1 angefangen und finde Windows 7 immer noch sehr gut. Mittlerweile ist Linux Mint (Cinnamon) mein Favorit, da Windows 10 Wege geht, die ich nicht immer gut finde. Welches Betriebssystem findet ihr heute am besten?

Gleich ob MacBook Pro, MacBook Air oder das neue MacBook Pro mit Retina Display – alle Mobilrechner von Apple nutzen für die Stromversorgung ohne Kabel moderne Lithium-Polymer-Batterien. Doch auch diesen fortschrittlichen Stromspendern ist kein ewiges Leben vergönnt. Mit jedem Ladezyklus verringert sich deren Lebenszeit.


Kurz umschrieben: Ein Ladezyklus ist der Vorgang, bei dem einem entladenen Akku erneut Energie zugeführt wird. Jedoch setzt dies voraus, dass die gesamte Batterieleistung aufgebraucht wird. Dies geschieht aber nicht unbedingt bei jedem Ladevorgang des MacBooks. Ein Beispiel: Der Akku besitzt noch eine Kapazität von 50 Prozent der ursprünglichen Ladung, danach erfolgt die Aufladung auf 100 Prozent. Wiederholt sich dieser Vorgang auf die gleiche Weise am nächsten Tag, entspricht dies einem vollständigen Ladezyklus. In der Praxis bedeutet dies, dass ein vollständiger Ladezyklus durchaus mehrere Tage in Anspruch nehmen kann.



Mit jedem Ladezyklus verringert sich unausweichlich die ursprüngliche Leistung der Batterie, meint, der Akku verschleißt und muss eines Tages ersetzt werden. Dabei gibt es keine wirklich festen Regeln, nach denen man bestimmen könnte, wie viele Ladezyklen ein Akku tatsächlich überlebt. Bei modernen MacBooks sollten allerdings einige hundert Ladyzyklen möglich sein. Bei den aktuellen MacBooks, deren Batterien vom Anwender selbst nicht getauscht werden darf, spricht Apple gar von 1000 Ladezyklen.

Letzteres ist nicht nur ein Ladegerät mit zwei USB-Ports, sondern bietet sogar Alexa-Integration. Hierfür muss der Roav VIVA allerdings mit dem Smartphone verbunden sein.

Wie baut man heutzutage ein Smartphone, das sich von der Konkurrenz-Masse abhebt? Zum Beispiel indem man ihm einen wirklich leistungsfähigen Akku verpasst. Und genau das hat Elephone mit seinem Modell namens P5000 getan.


Smartphones und ihre Akkus, ein ewiges und ebenfalls leidiges Thema. Zwar versprechen immer mehr Unternehmen eine bessere Leistung ihrer eingebauten Batterien, einen wirklich großen Unterschied merkt man dabei aber selten.

Etwas anders könnte dies beim Elephone P5000 sein. Während dieses sich optisch zwar nicht unbedingt von der Masse abhebt und das Kind einer Liebschaft eines Samsung Galaxy-Smartphones mit dem iPhone 6 sein könnte, ist es hier vor allem das Innenleben, dem man seine Aufmerksamkeit widmen sollte. Denn das Herzstück für den Betrieb ist ein 5.350 mAh starker Akku, der damit der leistungsfähigste ist, der bisher in einem Smartphone eingebaut wurde.


Was bedeutet das in der Praxis? Laut Elephone sind Nutzungszeiten bis zu 4 Tagen kein Problem. Und zwar auch dann, wenn man das Gerät auch wirklich nutzt, wie die folgende Grafik zeigt. Selbst nach häufigem Einsatz soll das Gerät so abends auch immer noch über 72% der Akkuladung verfügen. Und auch Intensivnutzer sollen auf eine Laufzeit von immerhin zwei Tagen kommen. Ein Wert, den bisher wohl kaum ein anderes Smartphone derzeit zustande bringen kann.



Doch auch die weiteren technischen Spezifikationen können sich durchaus sehen lassen. So ist das Gerät beispielsweise auch mit einem Fingerabdrucksensor ausgestattet, der zum Entsperrend des Displays und für mehr genutzt werden kann. Ach ja, und dank des wirklich mächtigen Akkus kann das P5000 auch einfach mal als Zusatzakku für andere Geräte verwendet werden (diese Technologie ist auch bereits von Huawei bekannt). Klingt doch alles in allem ziemlich gut, oder?


Mit 9,3 mm gehört das Elephone P500 zwar nicht zu den dünnsten Geräten, angesichts des monströsen Akkus ist dieses aber absolut zu verzeihen. Im Vergleich: Das Samsung Galaxy S5 (5,1 Zoll Display) ist 8,1 mm dick, hat dafür aber auch nur einen 2.800 mAh starken Akku. Ein großer Akku braucht natürlich auch eigentlich etwas mehr Zeit, um aufgeladen zu werden. Auch hier hat Elephone aber mitgedacht und einen 5,2V/2,5 mAh starken Schnellauflader an Bord, der den Akku des P5000 in 1 Stunden zu 70% auflädt.


Alles in allem klingt das Gerät äußerst interessant und wir hoffen, dass wir uns demnächst auch selbst ein eigenes Bild von dem Gerät machen können. Erscheinen soll das Elephone P5000 Anfang 2015, ein Preis wurde noch nicht genannt. Offiziell wird das Gerät bei uns wahrscheinlich nicht angeboten werden, über Umwege dürfte es aber aber kein Problem sein, das Gerät auch im deutschsprachigen Raum zu kaufen.


Samsung hat das Galaxy S6 offiziell im April 2015 vorgestellt. Es wird neben dem Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge als das wichtigste High-End-Smartphone des Jahres bezeichnet. Das Samsung Galaxy S6 kommt im neuen Design, allerdings fehlen auch einige liebgewonnene Funktionen. Hier erfahrt ihr alles über Preis, technische Daten, Bilder und Videos zum Smartphone.

Das Samsung Galaxy S6 wurde im April 2015 veröffentlicht. Der Preis startete bei Release bei 699 Euro für die 32 GB-Version. Die 64 GB-Variante kostete 799 Euro und das 128 GB-Modell 899 Euro. Derzeit bekommt ihr die 32 GB-Variante ohne Vertrag für 390 Euro, die 64-GB-Variante für 499,90 Euro und die 128-GB-Variante für 599,90 Euro bei Amazon hier. Der Preis variiert aber noch je nach Farbe und Verkäufer um einige Euros.



Wenn ihr das S6 mit Vertrag wählt, liegt der Preis je nach Anbieter deutlich tiefer. Allerdings bezahlt ihr so, langfristig gesehen, oft mehr.

Das Samsung Galaxy S6 wird ab Werk mit Android 5.0.2 ausgeliefert, lässt sich allerdings auf Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow aktualisieren. Das Smartphone hat wie das Samsung Galaxy S5 ein 5,1 Zoll-AMOLED-Display; allerdings nun mit einer WQHD-Auflösung von 2560 x 1440 Pixeln. Die Pixeldichte entspricht dadurch 578 ppi. Dank einer maximalen Displayhelligkeit von 600 Nit ist das Display auch bei strahlendem Sonnenlicht noch gut ablesbar. Vorn wie hinten ist Glas zu finden – genauer gesagt das kratzresistente Gorilla Glass 4.


Als Prozessor kommt der hauseigene Exynos 7420 Octacore zum Einsatz mit 4 x 2,1 GHz Cortex-A57 und 4 x 1,5 GHz Cortex-A53. Insgesamt kann das S6 auf 3 GB RAM zugreifen. Der interne Speicher ist wahlweise 32, 64 oder 128 GB groß. Hier sollte man ganz genau wählen, da es keinen SD-Kartenslot gibt, um den Speicher zu erweitern.


Die üblichen Netzwerk-Verbindungen wie WLAN und Bluetooth 4.1 sind mit an Bord; sogar NFC, Infrarot und GPS. Am Gehäuserand unten befindet sich ein microUSB-Anschluss. Darüber ist der Home-Button zu finden, der auch als Fingerabdruckscanner fungiert.

Akku für ASUS ZenBook UX31


Gemessen wurde die Akkulaufzeit unter anderem beim Surfen im Web über eine WLAN-Verbindung. Jeder Laptop durchläuft die Tests mindestens dreimal, schreibt das Nachrichtenportal.

In der Infografik (Artikelbild) sind alle Werte als Durchschnitte zu verstehen: Which? stellte seit Anfang 2016 unterschiedliche Modelle eines Herstellers auf den Prüfstand — darunter drei MacBooks von Apple.


Beispiel HP: Der Hersteller versprach bei 10 Geräten im Durchschnitt eine Akkulaufzeit von neun Stunden und 48 Minuten. Erreicht haben die Geräte nur knapp über fünf Stunden. Etwas besser stehen Asus-Laptops da: Sie erreichen knapp sieben der versprochenen zehn Stunden.

Ein 13-Zoll-MacBook-Pro — unklar ist allerdings, welches Modell genau — hielt zwölf Stunden durch. Apple gibt die Akkulaufzeit mit zehn Stunden an.

Auf Anfrage erklärte Dell: Es sei schwierig, eine genaue Batterielaufzeit anzugeben, die zu allen Kunden passt. Schließlich verwende jeder seinen PC auf unterschiedliche Weise.


Auch HP kommentierte das schlechte Ergebnis, ohne direkt Bezug darauf zu nehmen: Bei den Batterietests kommen Skripte zum Einsatz, die realistische Benutzung simulieren, heißt es in dem Statement. Ebenso wie „richtige Applikationen“ — beispielsweise Microsoft Office.

Traditionell gibt Apple die Akkulaufzeit für seine Notebooks eher konservativ an. Soll heißen: Die Tests, mit denen der Hersteller die Akkulaufzeit errechnet, veranschlagen durchaus intensive Nutzung. Probleme gibt es immer wieder dennoch: Über Monate waren Apples MacBook Pros mit Touchbar in der Presse – Software führte dazu, dass die Akkulaufzeit deutlich unter den versprochenen Werten lag. Die US-Ausgabe der Stiftung Warentest ließ die Geräte deshalb sogar durchfallen.



Dass ein Laptop nicht mehr angeht, kommt häufiger vor. In vielen Fällen lässt sich das Problem schnell lösen. Falls euer Gerät nicht starten oder hochfahren will, der Bildschirm schwarz bleibt oder seltsam piept, haben wir einige Vorschläge für euch, mit denen ihr es eventuell doch wieder zum Laufen bekommt.

Laptops und Notebooks sind mobile Geräte, die sehr häufig nur von einem Akku versorgt werden. Wenn so ein Laptop nicht mehr startet, kann das etwas mit der Stromversorgung und letztendlich auch mit euren Einstellungen zu tun haben. Solange kein Hardware-Defekt vorliegt, kriegt ihr euer Laptop in den meisten Fällen wieder zum Laufen. Hier unsere Tipps…


Wenn euer Laptop nicht mehr angeht, obwohl beim letzten Mal noch reichlich Saft im Akku war, kann es daran liegen, dass sich der Akku seitdem weiter entladen hat. Das kann insbesondere dann passieren, wenn man sein Laptop so konfiguriert hat, dass es beim Zuklappen nicht abschaltet. Auch der Modus „Energie sparen“ verbraucht weiter Strom, um den Arbeitszustand beim Zuklappen im RAM zu halten. Dahingegen sorgt der „Ruhezustand“ dafür, dass der Status quo auf der Festplatte gespeichert wird, bevor sich das Laptop wirklich abschaltet.


Wenn sich nichts tut, aber zumindest die Lade-LED am Gerät leuchtet, solltet ihr etwa 10 bis 30 Minuten warten, bevor ihr es nochmal zu starten versucht.

Geht das auch nicht, ladet den Akku vollständig auf und versucht es dann noch einmal.

Normalerweise sollte das Laptop auch bei einem völlig leeren Akku starten, wenn es am Stromnetz hängt. Manche Geräte „leiten“ aber den Arbeitsstrom durch den Akku hindurch und verlangen einen Mindest-Ladestand, bevor sie wieder angehen.



Akku-Probleme

Falls dieser Tipp nicht geholfen hat, kann es am Akku liegen. Hier ein paar andere Lösungsansätze, falls euer Laptop wegen des Akkus nicht an geht:

Bei Wechsel-Akkus (die ohne das Gerät zu öffnen austauschbar sind) überprüft den Sitz des Akkus. Meist werden sie von ein bis zwei Schiebehalterungen gesichert, von denen beide fest geschlossen sein müssen. Zieht sie auf, entfernt den Akku, schiebt ihn wieder ein und drückt die Halterungen fest zu.

Eingebaute Akkus haben manchmal das Problem, dass sie durch Bewegungen des Laptops verschoben werden. Dann sitzen die Kontakte nicht mehr richtig und das Laptop geht nicht mehr an.
